H eather Furr just twitched: a quick nod toward the women behind her, who wear football pads and eyeliner and garments that — depending who you ask — may or may not be lingerie. The women are screaming at Furr. They would like her to turn around.
The NFL isn't the only football league dealing with player safety issues. According to several former players, the women of the Legends Football League are putting their scantily clad bodies in harm's way each time they take the field. A group of women who previously played in the 7-on-7 indoor football league spoke with "Inside Edition" and detailed injuries ranging from concussions and broken bones to scrapes from the playing surface.

The trial will be the first step towards establishing a player roster to represent the UK in the inaugural season. Twenty-five 25 of the top female athletes in each country will represent their country of origin, competing for their National Club, the format, uniform and rule structure will be similar to LFL USA. The inaugural season will include 1 home match and 1 away match for each club with more matches being added in and beyond.
As a self-proclaimed Green Bay Packers fan, I can name about 5 players and can usually tell which team is scoring the touchdown. Much like its former name suggests, the Legends Football League consists of female football players competing in well…their underwear. The current uniform: underwear which resembles track and field bottoms plus shoulder pads over a bra.
Guardian Australia confirmed with competition organisers that LFL players receive no wages, competitors have no minimum training session attendance requirements and many have never played American football before. Organisers also confirmed that players must rely on their own insurance, despite the obvious injury risks from a game based on American football. The LFL does provide secondary medical services through its network of sports medicine sponsors," a league spokesman said.

About five years ago, I caught wind of a professional football league called the Lingerie Football League now called the Legends Football League. Being a former track athlete turned beauty pageant winner, I was looking for another competition rush and was instantly interested. So I began training.
